Gold Coast Triathlon Club Hosts “2N’s SpiNNing for GleNN” Fundraiser at Wheelhaus — Sat., April 11
The Gold Coast Triathlon Club will host an indoor cycling fundraiser on Saturday April 11 at Wheelhaus Bikegarten in Hoboken for 2N’s SpiNNing for GleNN—raising funds for Glenn Hartrick to help his road to recovery from a terrible bike accident on River Road.
Glenn Hartrick, an avid triathlete, member of GCTri, and Runner’s World cover model, was involved in a very serious crash in 2014 that left him paralyzed from the chest down. He underwent many surgeries at Hackensack University Medical Center, and spent 30 days recovering there before continuing his recovery at Kessler Rehabilitation Center for in-patient treatment and continues to attend therapy on an outpatient basis.
He hasn’t given up on his love for endurance racing and is up for new challenges ahead. Currently, Glenn is training to participate as a challenged athlete with his new hand cycle at the United Half Marathon April 12, 2015. After that, it’s on to the NYC Marathon later this year.
In its effort to support Glenn Hatrick and his inspiring, ambitious quest to return to competitive endurance racing, Gold Coast Triathlon Club is looking for participants, donors or any businesses willing to donate prizes.
