Stevens Institute of Technology to Host NYC and NJ High Schoolers at High-Tech Trading Day Competition

Trading Day is for sophomores and juniors who are interested in studying business when they graduate from high school. The event provides exposure to high-tech finance industry tools and resources, as well as live market data.

Teams of students from 20 different high schools will converge on the Hanlon Financial Systems Lab in the Babbio Center, use high-performance software and real-time market data to manage a $1 million portfolio, and have two 75-minute sessions to make their money grow. The team that performs the best wins the competition.

In addition, professionals from the financial sector and other industries will be on hand to provide insights into their careers on Wall Street, offering networking opportunities for the young minds participating.

Scholarships will be offered
to the winning school if they enroll to study business at Stevens. A tour of Bloomberg’s offices in New York is also part of the package.
