TONIGHT: Air National Guard Band of the Northeast Plays Sinatra Park
The Air National Guard Band of the Northeast will land in Sinatra Park this evening, playing traditional, patriotic pieces, to prime the pump for the forthcoming Fourth of July celebration (heads up—that’s THIS WEEKEND…).
The Air National Guard Band of the Northeast supports the total Air Force mission by preserving our national heritage, accomplished mainly through the music it provides for official military and community events. As traditional guardsmen, band members can be also called upon to assist other Air and Army National Guard units with civil defense duties and disaster relief efforts.
The band finds itself playing to capacity audiences in major venues throughout the eastern United States, as well as and in such distant places as Europe, the Caribbean, Kuwait, Bahrain, Qatar and Afghanistan.
Your chance to see them right here in Hoboken is tonight, with the Manhattan skyline providing one of the most amazing backdrops in this great nation, if not the world.
Showtime is TONIGHT at 1900 hours (that’s 7 p.m., for us civilians…)
