Gogi Grill recently opened at 79 Hudson Street in Hoboken—serving traditional Korean BBQ dishes in a fast-casual dining atmosphere.
Gogi (rhyming with “Yogi”) is the Korean word for “meat.” Customers can select a type of meal (taco, bowl, wrap/burrito, or salad), add the grilled portion (boneless short ribs, chicken breast, spicy chicken, shrimp, spicy Korean bacon, or even tofu), then slap on some exciting toppings (kimchi, other marinated vegetables) and top it off with any one of their smoky/sweet/spicy sauces.
Curious, but overwhelmed by the options? Experts recommend trying the Gogi Grill Original Creation “Scallion Pancake Tacos.”
“I knew I wanted to offer a taco option, but also knew that I wanted something a little different – something that would become part of the dish itself and not simply a ‘holder,’” says Gogi Grill Owner Inku Yo. “I started experimenting with a traditional scallion pancake and loved the way it complimented the flavors of the BBQ inside. Once I shared this with friends and family who raved of the unique flavors, I immediately knew it was going change the Korean street taco forever.”
Gogi Grill is located at 79 Hudson Street in Hoboken, is open seven days a week, Sunday–Thursday from 11 am to 10 pm and Friday and Saturday from 11 am to 11 pm.
