UPDATED: Flowers on Bloomfield Street Trashed by Vandals
***SEE UPDATE AT BOTTOM***
We know there are worse things in the world, but this is just disappointing.
Residents of downtown Bloomfield Street awoke this morning to find outdoor plants scattered all over cars in what appears to be a pointless act of random vandalism.
Flowers, potted plants—colorful items people had placed outside their brick buildings to make them feel more like home—senselessly uprooted and strewn all over the street in a petty act of stupidity.
Before you point out that, “it’s part of city living,” or, “that’s what you get for leaving stuff out front,” or, “first world problem,” please realize that we understand all that.
Yes, the world sucks—we get it.
But that doesn’t change the fact that whoever did this is an @$$^*!&. So let’s just focus on that for a minute…
If anyone has any information about the @$$^*!& or @$$^*!&s who did this, we’d love to hear from you.
No one is calling for prosecution, vigilante execution, or any other inane social media posturing. We just want them to know that what they did was wrong—in the hopes that they won’t do it again.
There’s no need for that—people are just trying to live here…
***UPDATE***
Turns out it was more than just trashing flowers, as one reader shared this photo of her door splattered with paint on the 200 Block of Bloomfield Street. Anyone with any information, please reach out to chris@hMAG.com.
